SDBAN WINS INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS, FALL TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED

JP Harris’ third full length album of original music, Sometimes Dogs Bark At Nothing, was selected as Country Album of The Year by the Independent Music Awards, following a few months on the heels of making Paste Magazine’s Top 100 Albums Of 2018.

After producing a stage for Newport Folk Festival at the end of July, JP and the band will kick off an eastern and northeastern run at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC; dates in PA, RI, MA, NY, OH, WI, KY, and a first border crossing to play The Dakota Tavern in Toronto, ON are on the list for August. JP will be making several appearances throughout AmericanaFest Sept 9-15, heading out for two sets at Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion and one at Pilgrimage the following weekend, heading for a quick run to Texas and Alabama the following weekend.

JUNE MIDWEST AND SOUTHEAST TOUR ANNOUNCED, SDBAN NOMINATED FOR INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS

After a month on the road with the band, JP and gang regroup for a few before heading out in June for select midwestern and southeastern shows. Dates in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio, West Virginia, and Virginia are all up now on the tour dates page.

The 2018 Independent Music Awards nominees have been announced, and JP’s latest work “Sometimes Dogs Bark At Nothing” is nominated in the Best Country Album category! If selected, this would make the second time JP’s taken home this award, after winning the same title for his debut album in 2012.

WESTERN DATES W/ JD McPHERSON, HEADLINE SHOWS ANNOUNCED FOR MARCH & APRIL

JP Harris will take to the road with timeless rock-and-roller JD McPherson again in February, March, and April 2019. Supporting JD as a duo, shows have been announced in MO, CO, ID, UT, OR, and WA.

The full band will be joining JP for two nights each opening for JD at Mississippi Studios (Portland OR) and Tractor Tavern (Seattle WA); full-band, headline shows have been announced in OR, CA, AZ, and OK. The full band will be joining JP for two nights each opening for JD at Mississippi Studios (Portland OR) and Tractor Tavern (Seattle WA); full-band, headline shows on the west coast and southwest to be announced soon, with appearances in CA, AZ, NM, TX, and OK.

Tickets for full band shows in January and February, including special appearances in IL, IA, IN, KY, LA, TX, PA, and RI are currently on sale, with limited availability in several towns. Advance tickets highly recommended!

JP HARRIS DUO SUPPORTS JD McPHERSON, JANUARY FULL-BAND DATES ANNOUNCED

After a wildly successful European tour in November, JP returns stateside and will hit the ground running to support JD McPherson, currently touring his original Christmas album “Socks.” These shows will be played as a duo in Houston, Dallas, and Austin TX as well as Oklahoma City OK and Memphis TN.
